2026 Winners

2026 Official Results

The 2026 Mendo Cup awarded five top finishers and a Best Breeder from 27 licensed Mendocino County sungrown farms at the Willits Grange on May 3rd, 2026. Chiah Rodriques and Jamie Beatty of River Txai Farms made Mendo Cup history — the first farm to claim both 1st Place and Best Breeder in the same year. Chiah grew it. Jamie bred it. Together, they brought home “Fire Horse OG,” coming soon to retail partners under the Arcanna Flowers label.

Exquisitely manicured and densely packed buds loaded with resin, announcing themselves with a lemon geranium and bubble gum fragrance you won’t soon forget. The smoke is as balanced as it is bold — a hard-hitting spike that settles into a long, gentle euphoric cruise. “You could taste the secret sauce of TLC in this top shelf sungrown.” When a breeder plants the seed, a farmer coaxes it to its full potential, and together they win the whole competition — that’s not luck. That’s partnership.
It all starts with a seed — and someone who truly knows what to do with it. Jamie Beatty bred Fire Horse OG from the ground up at Greenfield Ranch, bringing deep genetic knowledge and an instinct for the plant that showed up in every judge’s notes. Chiah Rodriques grew it, tended it, and brought it to the competition. Together they became the first farm in Mendo Cup history to take both top honors in the same year. Big, chunky nugs with long orange hairs arrive trailing a pungent grape juice aroma with citrus undertones. Fruity candy on the inhale, spicy herb on the way out. The effect is subtly transcendent — equally suited to a productive morning or a comfortable evening. “It made everything extra shiny.” If you think a 10.47% THC reading is a disadvantage in a blind judging competition, Royal Blueberry placed second and would like a word.

A solid, frosty bud structure that’s bright and fresh, with lemon balm terpenes that shift flavor with every single hit. The judges couldn’t agree on a single note — and that was precisely the point. “I would buy this in a dispensary and share it with loved ones.” That sentence should be framed.

Dense, crystal-coated nugs with a complex aroma — citronella, anise, cinnamon, and pepper all arriving at once. The smoke is clear-headed and talkative, yet somehow simultaneously mellow, calm, and peaceful. A rare trick. The O’Donnell family brought the same Biscotti that won in 2025 and still placed fourth in a field that got demonstrably stronger. When your previous champion finishes fourth, the competition is doing exactly what it should.

Sticky, dense, crystal-laden buds with a sour, fermented, beautifully funky smell that tells you exactly what you’re getting into. Creamy buttered popcorn on the palate with pepper and maple syrup on the finish. The high is heavy — not for beginners. Jesse took Best Breeder and 2nd place at the inaugural 2025 Mendo Cup with this same King’s Poison. Back in 2026 and still cracking the top five. Consistency is its own kind of mastery.
